Chairman Sean P. Jackson Files Formal Request for Presidential Pardon With the United States Department of Justice

Chairman Jackson seeks a full and unconditional pardon from President Donald J. Trump, submitting a comprehensive clemency application supported by elected officials, clergy, community leaders, former pardon recipients, friends, and family.

Palm Beach, FL — The Office of Sean P. Jackson today announced that Chairman Sean P. Jackson has formally filed a request for a presidential pardon with the United States Department of Justice, Office of the Pardon Attorney. Through this filing, Chairman Jackson is seeking a full and unconditional pardon from President Donald J. Trump.

In his application, Chairman Jackson contends that his federal prosecution was politically motivated. In 2022, Chairman Jackson declined to provide the Department of Justice with information concerning President Donald J. Trump and then–Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness. Chairman Jackson contends that an aggressive prosecution followed — a case he describes as marked by fictitious information, misleading statements, and the intentional omission of material facts intended to damage his personal, professional, and political standing and to ensure he was unable to help President Trump during the 2024 presidential campaign.

The request submitted to the Office of the Pardon Attorney is comprehensive and includes a pardon snapshot, a summary of the application, the Application for Pardon After Completion of Sentence, letters of support, a resume of community service, award recognition, the presentence investigation report and an addendum, and the information charges.

Countless letters of support accompany the request, including letters from local, state, and federal elected officials, community leaders, former pardon recipients, clergy, friends, and family.
